Clofit Ltd. ("Clofit", "we", "us", "our") provides AI-powered wardrobe management and styling services through our mobile application and website (the "Services").

If you are located in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA), Clofit Ltd. is the data controller for purposes of the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

2. Lawful Basis for Processing (UK/EU GDPR)

If you are in the UK or EU, we process your personal data under one or more of the following lawful bases:

  • Performance of a contract – to provide the Services you request.
  • Legitimate interests – to improve our Services and ensure security.
  • Consent – where required (e.g., marketing communications).
  • Legal obligation – where required by law.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Account Information

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Authentication details (via Apple, Google, Firebase)
  • Profile preferences

3.2 Wardrobe & Image Data

  • Clothing images uploaded by you
  • Try-on images (if applicable)
  • Generated outfit combinations
  • Metadata derived from images (e.g., category, color, style)

This data enables personalization and AI-driven features.

3.3 Biometric & Virtual Try-On Notice (Important)

Clofit may process images to generate virtual try-on previews.

We do not:

  • Collect facial recognition identifiers
  • Store biometric identifiers
  • Use images for identity verification
  • Sell or share biometric information

Image processing is used solely to generate styling previews and is not used for identity recognition.

If you are in Illinois (USA), Clofit does not collect "biometric identifiers" as defined under BIPA.

3.4 Usage & Device Data

  • Operating system
  • Usage logs
  • Crash reports
  • Interaction analytics

3.5 Cookies (Website)

We may use:

  • Essential cookies

UK/EU users may be presented with cookie consent mechanisms where required.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Provide wardrobe organization features
  • Generate AI outfit recommendations
  • Provide virtual try-on previews

We do not sell personal data.

5. Data Sharing

  • Retail partners (only via redirection, not personal data transfer)

All processors are bound by contractual data protection agreements.

Your data may be transferred outside the UK or EEA. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards such as:

10. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures, including:

  • Encryption where appropriate
  • Access controls
  • Infrastructure security
  • Monitoring and logging

However, no system is completely secure.

11. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (US) or under 16 (EU unless local law permits lower age). We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

12. Automated Decision-Making

Clofit uses AI to generate styling suggestions. These outputs:

  • Are automated
  • Do not produce legal or similarly significant effects
  • Are suggestions only

Users remain fully responsible for decisions.

13. Photo Retention & Deletion (Virtual Try-On Images)

Virtual Try-On Image Processing, Retention & Deletion

When you use Clofit's Virtual Try-On feature, you may upload photographs or images ("Try-On Images") to generate styling previews.

Purpose of Processing

Try-On Images are processed solely for the purpose of generating AI-based outfit previews and enhancing styling recommendations within your account. Images are not used for identity verification, facial recognition, biometric identification, or advertising purposes.

Temporary Processing

During the generation of a try-on preview:

  • Images may be temporarily processed by AI models.
  • Temporary processing data may be created during inference.
  • Such temporary data is not retained beyond what is technically required to deliver the preview.

Storage of Try-On Images

Depending on feature usage:

  • If you choose to save a try-on result, the generated image will be stored securely within your account.
  • If you do not save the result, uploaded Try-On Images may be automatically deleted within a short technical retention window (typically within 24 hours).
  • Clofit does not permanently store raw uploaded images unless you explicitly save them to your wardrobe.

User-Controlled Deletion

You may:

  • Delete individual try-on images within the app.
  • Delete wardrobe items at any time.
  • Request full account deletion, which will permanently remove stored images from active systems.
  • Deletion requests may take up to 30 days to fully propagate through backups and infrastructure systems, subject to legal obligations.

Backups & Residual Copies

Deleted images may remain in secure encrypted backups for a limited period as part of standard disaster recovery practices. Such data is not actively processed and is automatically overwritten in accordance with backup retention schedules.

No Sale or Commercial Use

Clofit does not:

  • Sell Try-On Images
  • License user images to third parties
  • Use Try-On Images for advertising
  • Use images to train facial recognition systems

Images are processed solely to provide the Services to you.

Biometric Information Clarification (US Compliance)

Clofit does not collect, store, or process biometric identifiers (such as facial geometry templates) as defined under applicable laws, including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA).

Try-On Images are used only to simulate clothing overlays and are not used to uniquely identify individuals.

Data Minimization Principle

We follow data minimization principles and retain Try-On Images only for as long as necessary to provide the requested functionality or as required by law.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of Services indicates acceptance.
